My 34 came with a luggage rack that was painted the darker color on the car (fenders and top color). The car has an un-conventional two tone color scheme. It is an aftermarket rack that I have seen on other cars as well. It has the V8 logo and some chrome strips on it and the supports brackets and knobs are all chrome. See enclosed photo. I see racks like this and different styles shown at Macs, Speedway and CG Ford.

I agree, looks just like the one on my avatar 35 fordor sedan, and another 35-36 luggage rack I own.

...the rack itself was the same-34 thru 36, but the mounting brackets were different.

The rack generally came in black but could be ordered in color. The colors could match the body color or be painted to match the pin stripe. The brackets were always black.

Are these racks with the V8 logo on them actually original equipment? I figured they were aftermarket.

...they were a Ford dealer installed accessory from 32 thru 37. There were reproductions made in the 70s & 80s, I believe.
