Seattle native, but my folks moved us about 20 miles north of Plymouth Ma in the 60s. Dad had been from Mattapoisett and mom from New Bedford. I'll never forget the new to me smell of burning leaves in the fall. Kinda like apple pie in grandma's kitchen. I fear all that is illegal now. Well, not the pie. I have wicked good memories of my years in Mass, but returned to Wa in the 70's. I always love your avatar. White cedar shingles for siding and no roof overhangs. No ice dams. Double hung windows.....Glad you and your neighbor are friends. So much better than the other scenario.....
