I believe I read a post here or on the old Fordbarn some time ago saying he had passed away.

A search here didn't turn up anything. A search of the HAMB shows his last post on June 3, 2007.

Carl was from Pelham, New Hampshire. Seems like I remember him saying many moons ago on Shelly's old 'Barn, something about taking a sabbatical of sorts from posting on the interweb for a while. He sure did know some stuff! Can't remember his last name. DD
