I thought it interesting that Frank's photo composition included her in the shot.

Was that a random meeting, or is Dewar a known V8er on the way to the meet, too?

Frank hasn't said much today about the trip. I've never seen that car before, so I'm thinking it was just something that happened on the road. Dewar looked like he was carrying just about all that he needed!

It was something that happened. I was wiped out from driving so did not post anything yesterday. I actually stayed in Marysville hoping to meet up with a friend but that may or may not happen.
Dewar was stopped so I stopped and then the couple from Belgium stopped. We had a nice little visit. Dewar is not in the Early Ford V8 club because he thought them to be snobbish picking over his car. I informed him that one of those a**h***s just stopped to help him. It was all in fun. I met a member at the hotel I stayed at but I cannot remember his name. They were just traveling through. A gentleman I had breakfast with was traveling from Virginia Beach to Alaska. He used to work in a Ford assembly plant. Here is my blurb I posted elsewhere. Jeff can put up pics if he has time.
Today I drove from Libby Montana to the end of Route in Marysville Washington. There was no recognizing sign or ribbon cutting ceremony, which disappointed me a little. I was thinking the drive was going to be a little more dense and other than Spokane, Washington it was as desolate --or as I like to say easily traveled and scenic -- as most of the trip. I would highly recommend this route for a cross country trip.
Route 2 would take me on what looked like high desert and farmland.It was mostly a one lane road with passing lanes and turnouts. There were mountain passes through the Wenatchee National Forest that would put those fearful of heights on edge. I locked out the overdrive to get better braking on the long downhills which were about 6 miles according to the signs. There were runaway truck ramps but I would think a truck with no brakes would have run off the road by then.
The haze continues but it did not seem too bad as far as smelling smoke. It is hard to snap pics while driving and there are not a lot of places to pull off.

You may want to have a wheel alignment done too when you get home.

The Stonehenge replica is at Maryhill, Washington. This is on the Columbia River across from Biggs Junction, Oregon,

Hey, Frank I sure wish we had got together for the trip out? We made Tulsa a year ago with the '49. The only problem, was it was very HOT! Good traveling, had great trip. I will follow along now.

Is it just the camera angle, or is the bad tire not also worn a lot more on one side? If so, kind of unusual for rear tire wear on a non-independent axle.

AH.....Frank.........the car looks just like one of those great Ford Motor Company promotional photos........ a vehicle with black walls.
No point deductions this time for wrong width white walls.

Could have been rotated from the front to the rear. That's why I suggested a wheel alignment at some point.

Frank just left headed south with new radials. He is not sure how far he will get today. It was my pleasure to meet him.
