I cannot install the ball joint and bumper. The bumper shape prevents me from installing like I think it should go. The way the picture shows, I think the bumper is in backwards BUT the ball will not let me bolt up any other way.

Are you sure that when you take-up the balljoint that the knuckle of the spindle assembly will not be hitting the upper A-arm? I guess I think that ball jpoint looks like the wrong part....

How do the new parts compare to the old parts? Did you take a picture of everything installed before you took it apart? First rule if this is the first time your doing something

The rubber bumper was not the problem, it was the ball joint stem was 10thousands too large in diameter and 3/16 of and inch too long. I purchased Moog ball joints and bingo, the were correct and went in perfectly. Moog cost 2x as much but you cannot go wrong with quality over price. What a headache for no reason.

How does it compare to the other side of the car? It actually looks correct to me.
