Default gauge gauge whose got the gauge?

On my 40 sedan when you first start it all the gauges work.
Gas, bat ,oil pressure, and temp. after a few minutes the oil pressure and temp gauge stop working. Gas and batt gauge still work. After you stop the car and start it again, the same thing happens/
Any ideas. Six volt positive ground, good cables, and grounds new battery.

Thanks
Roger

If you remove the wire from the sender and place a voltmeter on the wire to ground you should see full battery voltage. If so then the problem will be with the sender or it's ground. So for a second test reattach the wire and add a second ground path to the sender body. If that corrects the problem then the ground is the problem. If the problem still exist the sender is the problem.

If you have used a sealant like teflon tape or another sealant you may not be getting a good ground on the senders..
