Default touch up paint for the 53

Hi folks, is there somewhere I can find a color match for the 53 for touch up? In 53 Mercury called the salmon color, "bitter-sweet". I have the numbers from an old paint chip chart.

I got some touchup paint for my Corvette from an outfit called "AutomotiveTouchup.com". They have spray cans and "pens". The color matched my car perfectly.

Check out their website at "https://www.automotivetouchup.com/".

Our local Carquest store mixes paint and can match paint from a sample. They will put it in a spray can for you. I don't know about mixing from a formula. I believe the formulas are brand specific.

Try a local auto paint supply store. They should be able to match it if you have a sample of the color. (take the car down to them).

My 54 is painted a later model color by the previous owner. It was a stock color off a later Suburu. I was able to get a very good match from www.paintscratch.com but I doubt they would have anything going back to a 50's color

paul2748 has the best idea. Go to your local auto paint store. They can match it on the spot and mix it in rattle cans, pints, gallons, etc. I've been doing that for all my cars, for years.

Yep, but I would look at places that supply paint. Maybe do a local search for ppg distributors. Most distributors can match it and give you a spray can or whatever.

If you just need to touch up small rock chips etc. I did the following. I had a pin striper mix me up a small can of "One Shot" enamel to match the paint on my '40 Ford. Works great for small chips. Stripers are very good at matching paint colors.
