Default Edsel tune up

I have a friend who just acquired an '58 Edsel coupe. It has been sleeping for a while. It needs an Edsel expert for a refresh. Body looks OK but I'm sure the powertrain needs some redo. Car can be shipped.

Please be a little more specific. Does it run, is he looking for a full restoration, just a tune up? The drivetrain is pretty straightforward forward, but if it has the push button shift, that might be an expert.

Depends on what "tune up" means. The 58 Edsel is basic 57 - 58 Ford or 57 - 58 Mercury with different sheet metal depending on it being a small series or a large series. They do have a few oddities like the heater control, TeleTouch shift for the transmission and brake booster.

Every piece of soft goods on my 58 Pacer came from Carpenters 57 - 58 Ford book.
