Bought my first A in 1966 when I was 21. I now have 4, '29 CCPU , '29 Coupe, '31 TuDor, '31 AA SWB DRW. I bought them to enjoy with my family, and how I feel when I am driving one of them. The fact that many people step away from their modern cars and appreciate them when I stop somewhere is a bonus. And when a young kid says "Mister, did you buy it new" well that puts a smile on my face!

ETA, sounds like you grew up watchin' Hopalong, Roy, Cisco, and Wild Bill too.

A former V8 guy here 4 the first time. Born in 44, i have loved A's ever since I saw many of them in my youth. If i can sell my 88 T-Bird, i'll be looking for a 2 door sedan, 30 or 31.
I'm going to keep an eye on this forum cause you folks make me smile...x 2 on Roy, Cisco etc. Oh, I also flew to Put-In-Bay in Ford Tri Motors, even flew right seat once. Those really were the good old days ! Have "A" GR8 day all.

The '30 and '31 Tudors are one of the easier A's to get in and out of it seems.

I went to Put-In-Bay around 1970, didn't see any A's there then though. A lotta cars from the 1940's though.

Nobody has mentioned how tough they are yet. It was only yesterday that my wife and I returned from yet another long tour with camper tagging along for over 7,000 miles. That makes about 35-40,000 miles like that and I haven't taken the head off it. I will after this trip, just to see what is happening in there - I think the bottom end is getting a little loose. All the things that have been said above applies in spades in a trip like that.

My '31 Vicky Leatherback is a joy to drive. Took my grandson out for a spin yesterday and his eyes bugged out and mouth opened up[caught two flies] with a thrilling look on his face. That is why I drive my Vicky.
