Re: Shipping Body Only
Who is going to crate or palletize it? What lift equipment is available at each end to load & unload it? What manpower? Is it a local move or distant? Can it take weather exposure or do you need enclosed transport? . . .
The answer depends on what works for you. |

I have used Yesterdays Tractor website. Post an ad, you will likely get an answer within a few days. http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cg...aram=AllStates

Re: Shipping Body Only
I heard of a sedan body shipped UPSIDE DOWN in a closed trailer. It arrived with an 18 inch "CHOP"!

Re: Shipping Body Only
When I sold a 29 town car I made a subframe out of 2 by 12s and braced it well. Bolted the body to it and attached 6 in rubber wheeled casters from harbor freight. We rolled right into the guys trailer and sent it down the road after we strapped it down. I see no reason this would not work on just about any model a with some planning. Best of luck

Re: Shipping Body Only
Buddridge,
You can always get a variety of answers for any question on the barn. I also visit other websites and I noticed on the AACA forum there is a category for trailers and towing where car guys who are already making the trip have room or are going one way empty. It's a free site also and you don't need to be an AACA member. I don't know your to/from so I can't comment but maybe someone over there can help. |

Re: Shipping Body Only
As long as you are visiting other websites, take a look at the classifieds on Ahooga.com. They always have some travelers too.
