Unhappy 1929 Model A Headlights and horn don't work

Hi,
Just replaced the light switch with rod in steering column which comes with the new horn wire, Light Switch on the bottom of the shaft and put new wires on the lights with new conduit. When I turn on the switch the only thing that works is the dash lights.
Am 76 and have worked on these before but I am scratching my head.
Thanks in advance
Charles

I'm trying to picture how you replaced your light switch at the bottom of the column without removing your wiring harness.

Did you replace your entire wiring harness, or did you graft new wires onto an existing circuit? Which part of the switch did you replace? I'm assuming by dash lights you mean parking lights. Is this right?

Is the horn/light wire terminal connected to the cutout output terminal?

Dash light does not get power from the headlight/horn wiring harness so it will work even when no power to the headlight switch. Get your circuit tester/meter and trace the headlight wiring back to where you have lost power to the switch.
