That is the Pere Marquette 1225, the engine used as the model for the movie the Polar Express. It is based out of Owosso Michigan (about 4 blocks from my house). It is currently down for re-certification and was supposed to be running again this year, but they are out of funds as I understand it and a few hundred grand short.

Nice photo, thanks for posting, the 844 will be coming through here in July I will find a good place and get some car/train action photos.
We got another 5 inches last night. Please make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing this great photo of Your A and a steam train my Dad worked for the O & W for over 30+ years he started out as a boiler tube cleaner worked his way up to roundhouse operator never drove walked to work everyday in all kinds of weather if only he had a model A
