Default 1960 f-100 steering wheel

I have A 1953 f-100 and a perfect 1960 f-100 custom cab steering wheel, the one with the full horn ring. I have the spring that goes under the horn ring, not sure what else I need, and where to get the parts. If anyone has A 58/60 f-100 custom cab ,they will know what I need. thank you

There shouldn't be any spring that goes under the wheel, only under the horn ring. There shouldn't be much difference in the parts and installation between the two wheels, only their appearance.

Have you tried Sacramento Vintage Ford? They have lots of parts and knowledge about the trucks.

Keep in mind the '60 wheel is dished and the '53 is not. So using the 60 wheel on the 53 column will put the wheel a couple inches closer to your chest/stomach.

I also changed the column and box to a 56 f-100, two inches shorter

There is a short spring under the passenger wheels, I thought it was to hold the bearing down tight.

I don't recall there being a spring under the steering wheel. The steering tube has a "bearing" at the top that is a press fit. The horn ring has a large coil spring between the steering wheel and the horn ring..
I have four '57-60 F series custom cab, and one standard cab steering wheels..

Use NPD or LMC for all the parts you need. I use LMC the most and very good service.
