Default Diamondback Auburn Radials

I called Diamondback today looking to purchase a set of radial replacements for my 600-16" on my 35 pickup. The salesman said the best tire for me is the new Diamondback Auburn @ $239 ea plus shipping.

It appears this tire is in stock and ready to ship. Has anyone purchased them and if so were you satisfied with the tire ?. Thanks

Not running the "Auburn" but I have been very happy with my Diamondback radials. The Auburns haven't been available until fairly recently. Bet they would look good on your truck. There may be some Auburn reviews if you check Google

What wheel are you running? TireRack says that tire isn't available in 15" or 16".

These tires are so new, it's unlikely that you will get much user feedback from members here. I believe these tires are Diamondbacks answer to their customer's requests for radial tires that have the appearance of bias tires. They should be competitive with Cokers Excelsior brand.

Diamondback has been promising these Auburns -- literally -- for years. I used to call them every six months or so and always got the same answer: "call back in six months..." I gave up calling summer before last. While most guys seem to love their Diamondbacks, I'm not sure that after the long wait I'd volunteer to be a Beta tester. I'd like to see 'em in more sizes, too.

I also waited for a couple-three years DB and finally said the hell with it. I bought 4 16" Coker's from Summit and the shipping was free and I don't recall paying sales tax. They are really good tires and look great !

One big advantage with Diamond Back is that all their tires are tubeless radials, including the new Auburns. The 16" bias and radials from Coker require tubes.

I just talked with DB and they said the 600/16 is all they have , I asked when they were expecting other sizes like 700 or 750/16 and he said he
had no idea. When I first talked with them years ago they were supposed to have both sizes available together , not much help only having one size
unless your using 600/16 on all four. I guess it's time to move on.

Maybe they want to see how the 600's do before thinking about offering other sizes. With Coker coming to market first with their Excelsior's in many different sizes, DB may feel that Coker has captured the maket already.
