Default Anybody running Elgin lifters?

I found a cam and lifter set to run im my ‘62 260. I e-mailed the seller and asked what brand the cam and lifters are. I was told that the cam is Melling and lifters are Elgin, which are made by Melling.
With the quality issues these days I figured I’d see if anyone has had any issues with Elgin lifters lately? I heard of them, but never ran them.
Thanks!

Elgin is pretty much standard with the major engine rebuilders. Used it many times with no issues

Thanks guys. I just didn’t want to get bargain basement lifters.

I see Elgin parts on eBay, they are supposed to be good.

I like and trust Elgin, very much. The 306 I'm building now will have the Elgin mechanical lifters in it and will be a 7200+ rpm engine.

If your not stuck on hydraulic lifters, Elgin makes a accurate clone of the 271 HiPo, 289 engine cam.

Thanks guys. The cam and lifters came today.
Now if it wasn’t zero degrees outside, I’d be out in the shop!
