Default Tires

Is anyone running 6.50x19 tires on a Model "A" car? If so, how do they ride? Do these tires require more effort to steer the car?

We had 5.50 X 19" tires on a '30 roadster and the corrugated side wall tread would rub the front brake rods on every sharp turn. Sounded like a rumble strip on the road. Very annoying. So went back to standard 19" tires and the problem disappeared. There are many Model A's running 6.50 X16" wheels from '35 Fords. I've never tried those on a Model A. Others will have experience with these.

A friend in our club runs 650R19 radials on his '31 pickup. He likes them and has no complaints.
