I get them from these UK jokers so much when I have been looking for something it pisses me off. Don't know about most of you but in my case the majority of the e-mails that I get when I post a "wanted" ad is from across the pond. Why would anyone in another country have rare parts for a car that was manufactured here? WHAT A SCAM..........

Yes I live in europe, when i say i want to pick up the part , i never hear from them again

When you ask them to send a picture, they mostly send you a picture of something else

If it sounds too good, it probably is..............

I'm from the uk and when I have posted wanted adds on here and other forums I get them also. It causes so many problems for all of us, and spoils relationships between the uk and us. Before I bought my 38 ford panel truck I had tried to buy about 10 other trucks with no luck as no one would deal with me or even reply as it says I'm from the uk. In the end I had to get my mate from mn to call the guy and deal with him.

If any of you guys from the UK or Scandanavia want to buy US cars ( or parts ) and import them, go to Mainfreight/Kiwi Shipping's website.
They are in LA.
Run by New Zealanders who know hot rods and original classic cars.
I have bought about 10 cars down to New Zealand through them.
No problems ever.

We all know they are not from UK
Ask them to send a picture of the item, they will probably send a picture of some ford part from the eighties

Or even better Call the seller/buyer and you will hear in a moment if the guy in the other end of the line knows anything about old cars

I have bought cars and stuff from UK too, with no problem, but a very good friend of mine got scammed for 1500£

I think a phone call will help in many ways
