To the best of my knowledge, Budd cabs are marked on the cross-member on the floor just in front of the seat.

The Coachwork article doesn't go into details about all the things Budd did for Ford Motor Company. I'm not sure how far Budd went with cab construction since they were primarily in the sheet metal business and not so much a body manufacturer. They worked with Ford on a lot of stampings to develop the designs to make quick construction possible on a large scale. Cabs may have been assembled but I don't know about whether they were completed or not. The interior refinements like seats and interior coverings (although truck cabs didn't have much) as well as window glass may have all been by Ford or their other subcontractors. They produced stampings of all kinds to help Ford keep up with production schedules. I'm sure Ford secured the best price for this stuff that they could but Budd likely made a bit more for their product than other suppliers did. They made damn good stuff. It would be interesting to know all the details about the Budd and Ford relationship.
It was easier for Ford to send out stacked stampings to the assembly agencies that were equipped for finishing around the country than it was to send completed bodies. Complete bodies were shipped to Ford Agencies by the various subcontractors but they were primarily the lower quantity production models like the Fordors, Cabriolets, and other special models as well as all the truck and van body stuff. Interesting info above! I think the British metallurgist named Harry Brearley mentioned in the Budd story must be a cousin of mine although I have never received any royalties from his invention of stainless steel. -

Somewhat related, my widebed is an early 'late 31'. It has all the late features except the cab has a 'soft' roof, as the earlier A trucks had. Ford used all the stock on hand before making any changes.
