Lightbulb frame question?

I have a1955 customline 2 Dr. with the front crossmember rust
problem, where can I either buy a new crossmember? Also have a possible donor frame a 55 wagon are they the same frame? Any help will do

Most of the mid fifties frames were different for wagons vs cars plus hard tops are diff from cars and wagons

Yes, the wagons, hardtops, convertibles and sedans had different frames, but I'm pretty sure the front crossmembers should be the same, if you can cut it out. I've also seen reproduction crossmembers on EBAY.

All 55/56 Fords(except T-Birds) have the same front crossmember.There are several of the old Ford parts vendors that sell repops.It is possible to find good used ones,but they are pretty hard to find.

Make sure what you add also has drain holes at bottom,they rusted out from water and dirt being traped

Nice, I just ran across a 56 tudor frame with body haven't seen it yet. The guy says power steering car
What would be reasonable to offer? Has no engine Trans dash or doors?
Goodell has a nice piece but that's a ton of money.

On 55 & 56 models, the wagon frame was different from the car frame only at the rear portion of the frame. The front crossmembers are identical.
Concours parts used to sell new front crossmembers for about $250 but that was some years ago. Don't know if they still offer them
