Default Ash tray 40-41 Pickup.

I just started a rebuild on a 40-41 pickup cab . I had the cab and doors blasted . Going to make a shop truck. In the middle of the dash up at the top just down from the window moldings there is a stamped half moon opening for a ash tray . No it as not been cut in the dash it is stamped. The opening has 90 degree legs bent straight down . Anybody seen this ? I just dont have the ash tray. Thanks.

The stamp dash ash tray was eliminated on the 39 trucks on. Easy way to spot a 39 truck front dash panel from a 38. Could always be exempts though.

That Ash Tray Photo added by "alanwoodieman" looks like the 1933/1934 Ford passenger car Ash tray?

alanwoodieman I have the raised dash with the ford script . It loos like the ashtray would have gone in the hole and had a flip top on it.
