Default Mystery trunk back pans

Trying to solve a mystery of two different trunk pans for 29 roadster, the yellow one has the trunk latch riveted on and the blue one is bolted, it is also an inch wider but the same length, thinking yellow is for trunk setup and the blue one is for a rumble setup, or ???

I think you are right, the yellow one is a trunk inner panel and the dark one appears to be a rumble curved inner panel. There should be no latch parts riveted or bolted to the curved inner panel (dark one). The latch should be on the top of the rumble lid/rain gutter. There are 2 different styles of inner panels, the shorter one for 28/29 coupes and cabriolets and a taller one for 28/29 roadsters and 30/31 coupes & roadsters.

Can you show a photo of the trunk latch on both panels? I am still questioning the blue panel.

The latch on the blue one is bolted on , an obvious add on, weather a replacement or conversion from rumble to trunk? I would also think that as far as trunk models go wouldn't the roadster and the coupe use the same pan?
