1957 Fordomatic
Is the tranny considered an automatic overdrive transmission? I am putting a new Holley carb on the 312 engine and the directions say if you have an auto overdrive transmission you need a spring a d perch kit. I don't have this kit on my old Holley carb.

Re: 1957 Fordomatic
Early Fordomatics were 3 speed with no overdrive. Around 1959 there was an aluminum case Fordomatic that was a 2 speed with no overdrive. You will also probably get a lot more responses if you post this in the "Late V8" section.
