Dipstick location 1935 Engine
How far above the pan does the dipstick sit on the 1935 engine?
The reproduction tube I had was even longer than the stock tube by 1/4”. As pictured the stick is 1” above the pan. Easy enough to check as I fill it.........just curious-

The 35 Ford had an early and a later oil pan. Each pan has it's own dip stick tube and dip stick. I checked a 34 oil pan and the dip stick reached nearly to the bottom of the cup.

Re: Dipstick location 1935 Engine
Thank you for the feed back. I remember my 8RT dipstick was closer to the bottom.
Update: I just reviewed the info from the 35-36 Ford Book. You are spot on, two tubes but mine is matched correctly with the bracket. My dipstick is the correct length @ 16 3/4” & my tube is 8 21/64 (48-6754-B) it’s overall length is correct. Still seems excessive but will verify when I fill it.

5 quarts brought the oil level up to the full mark on the dip stick (1” off the bottom of the pan) It takes appx. 1.25 qts of oil before registering on the stick. The safe driving area was about a 1.5 qt range.
