It’s my understanding that the toe boards was made out of wood, anyone reproducing them as a direct bolt in made of metal.

Thanks, I’m not after a complete floor pan just the toe boards. I’ve found them in wood but would like to have them in metal if they are available.

I'm sure that Absolute Sheet Metal would sell you the metal toe boards separately. Call them at 928-420-1254....

Not trying to discourage you but,you will find that wood is much better. Easy to remove and install and quieter. You can make the wood super smooth like metal if you use sandable primer with acrylic enamel finish.

No doubt about it. I made my toe boards out of plywood (good 2 sides) 30 years ago with no regrets. Fill in any imperfections with Bondo and sand it nice and smooth. Primer and cover with high quality enamel. Mine are like glass.

Another option is Starboard, which is used in the marine industry to replace wood. It machines even better than wood, and is bullet proof. Comes in different colors and thicknesses. The toe boards in my '40 coupe are original and in excellent condition, so that's a pretty good testimony to wood.

Starboard is excellent but expensive, so don't make any mistakes. However, you are still better off with wood.
