"Airwheels at P.J. Walker, Southern California, 1932"

These are some interesting pictures. Rare Woodlite headlights and non-matching aftermarket cowl lamps.

These showcase some bumper and trunk treatments on a '28 leatherback fordor.

Why is the license plate all flat black, and a few pictures up the front bumper looks flat, rather than a light curve from side to side?

In the rear view it looks like the plate is in DEEP shadow from the trunk. The last digit is even obscured. I've always understood that 1928 California plates were a deep royal blue with orange letters, so the rear plate looks fine to me. As for the front view, I'm puzzled. Any reason that the front and rear plates might have been different colors?

Fifteen pages of pix and I didn't find a single 1929 Business Coupe. Rare even back then.

I love old pictures! These are from the town I grew up in. The event was a summertime firemans carnival and parade. The hotel was owned by my grandparents. My father was born there. I spent many hours sitting on the front steps of the general store.

They aren't mine, Tom, I'm sorry to say. Just a neat spot I found on a tour last summer.

Love the UPS Package Truck. Trivia question: Who knows the official color of that UPS package truck, and why was that color chosen?

What size wheels and tires are on this '30? They look pretty wide for back then (check spare).

Question Re: Old Ford Pictures - social group

Something about the headlights on the '30 Cabriolet don't look right to me?
