Default Difference between Model T & A rear diffs?

I'm gathering parts for a build, and a rear diff has come up for sale. It's a 27 c/w driveshaft, torque tube. I just assumed it was the same as a banjo diff, but the seller briefed me on the change in 28. I'm using a C59A engine (essentially stk power) and perhaps the Tremec 5T. I can't find much either here or on the web about the differences between the two. Also any info on hub specs would be helpful.

In a word: Everything! No interchange of parts, and the T unit is not strong enough.
