It looks like a 26/27 Fordor by the fenders or what I can see of them. I bought one in similar shape, but it ran and I drove it home. I paid 2500, plus the guy was a stump grinder and I negotiated that he would grind out two stumps for me as well. I would think 2 to 3 grand tops. Fordor's have alot of wood. If it is bad, it can get expensive to replace. Get it as reasonable as you can.

The serial number will date the engine. It's stamped on the side of the engine above the water inlet. If the car was made December 12, 1925, or later, there should also be a serial number on top of the right frame rail, under the floor board. If the numbers match, it's the original engine that came with the car.

1926 or 27 for sure; big rear brake drums. Kinda odd, it REALLY looks like one my dad sold in 1968 near Chicago. The right rear tire is the dead give away. The tread pattern looks like a bazillion stacks of nickles. Also look for a 1952 Chicago vehicle sticker, and the clincher: a 6" x 6" tear in the headliner from a tent pole that was sewn and has a Frankenstein kinda scar look to it! Also had a really nice wood locking steering wheel and even the same kind of rear bumper, aftermarket deal. Me on front fender. ws

It is a 26/27, but it is hard to tell if there is an engine, hood, radiator etc.. Condition is hard to tell with one picture. Wood replacement is a pain in the a$$, and interior work can get pricey also. The comments above are well said. It looks complete, but make sure.

Kinda hard to judge the value from the one photo. Drag it outside, wash it, vacuum out the inside. Throw a battery and some gas at it and check the oil and water. Start the car. How does it drive?

All those things greatly affect value. If you want to sell it then you need to present it as best you can. Surely you don't plan to sell it using just that one photo?

I don't know squat about Ts, but I thought '26 and '27s had steel spoke wheels. The ones pictured are wood, aren't they? DD

The car is 80 + years old. Wheels, and anything else on the car for that matter, can be changed. Post again when you have good detailed photos of the car, cleaned up, under the hood, interior, of the engine serial number, and under the car. You will get lots of great answers if you can give us something to look at other than what you have shown so far which is a car covered in crap that could be moved in about two minutes.

OK, let me ask these two simple questions another way. Did '26 and '27 Ts leave the factories with steel-spoked wheels?

Am I correct in stating that the wheels pictured are, in fact, wooden-spoked? Tryin' to learn something here! DD

Yes, those are wood spoked 21" wheels. Wire wheels and hubs would have been an extra.

Yes, the wood wheels would have been standard and the wires would have been
extra. It also has the big brake drum rear which started in late 1925 and would have
had wood wheels. Un-bury the car and get the engine number.

Most likely this is a 1926 Fordor, based upon the presence of wood spoke wheels., in addition to sheer production numbers in favor of 1926. I believe late in 1926 (meaning for the 1927 models), a Ford directive was sent to dealers informing them that henceforth the Fordor would be come from the factory with the new wire wheels, not wooden spokes. Tudors and Coupes may also have been included. The remaining wooden spoke wheels were to be used up on the cheaper roadster and touring cars. However, nothing with Model T's is ironclad - there are ALWAYS exceptions to every rule or convention. But I'd say the vast majority of 1927 Fordors had wire wheels. A photo of the carburetor and headlights would be helpful in differentiating between 1926 and 1927. If there's a Holley NH carb, it's a 1926 - assuming everything is original. If it's a Holley Hotspot or Kingston Vaporizer (weird-looking animals, that they are!), it's a late 1926 or 1927. If the headlights are stand-alone without a crossbar between them, they are 1926. With a crossbar (two or three varieties possible), it's a late 1926 or 1927.
But to me, the wooden wheels almost assuredly make this is 1926 Fordor.

The more I look at that picture, the more questions I seem to have. It does not appear to have a hood, radiator, headlights, or possibly even a motor. I would certainly remove all the junk sitting on the roof and anywhere else on the car. Offer to clean the place up, maybe the owner might cut you a deal. Still a nice find. Good luck!

I'm with T42. Worm your way in with a clean up offer. The building doesn't look too old from what can be seen so I'm assuming it might not have been sitting for as long as it appears. There just might be an engine under that green looking blanket. Looks like there's plenty inside the car too. Could have started a repair job then quit. What ever you do ask about that electrical box! Value? $1500/2500 tops. Ask about a title too.
