Question 55 Windshield washer pump location

Hello All,
I was hoping that someone may be able to send a picture of where the windshield washer foot pump is located on a 55 Customline? I found an installation drawing and it says there should be a removable plug to locate the pump but mine does not seem to have the plug or hole in the firewall on either side. (Australian 56 Customline ). Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Keith

Well, if ya go out and open the hood and look just above the flat part of the inner fender apron on the driver side you will see a small knockout on the firewall. It's about 1/2 inch in diameter and has one flat edge to it.
That is where the foot pump pokes thru from inside. Can't take photo of mine, cause my crappy Chinese camera just bit the dust couple hours ago.

If Keith has a '56 Australian Customline, then it's right hand drive. There may not be a provision for the foot pump on the opposite side.

That's right, they drive on the wrong side of the road, I forgot. That means the original foot pump won't work unless you turn it 90 degrees so that the pump pedal is aiming downward, and then, would it interfere with the headlight dimmer switch?

It does look like it will interfere with either the clutch or the dipper switch. I think I will have to make a new pedal. A mirror image of the original.
