Hi
On the Y block the rear seal is held in place by 2 bolts can you tell me what size they are and what type they are? I have not seen that type of bolt head on any of my other cars Best |

they are special bolts.some take a 12 point socket others take an allen wrench.they are 5/16

I use a 3/8 drive 3/8 12 point deep socket. On reassembly, I use a dab of sealer on the threads because they go in to where oil lives. I also use a dab of sealer on the very end of the seal holder, and the very ends of the parts that press in the grooves.
