Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
The Everly brothers were the best. So sad.

Re: Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
My best friend and I in high school flipped his Crosley with Wake Up Little Suzie blaring on the radio from WRVA in Richmond. Had enough adrenalin after that to set it back up on its' wheels, and straighten the tie rod by hand. Even prouder that I did not spill my beer.

Re: Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
Among the very, very best. I was lucky enough to see them in 2003.

Re: Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
Apparently they semi fell out and stopped touring for a number of years
Got back after many years had a quick practice in the venue carpark and were good to go for the concert -Amazing harmonies

Re: Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
My late Uncle was a very talented singer and bass player in a C&W band. He is also responsible for acquiring the '32's in our family. A tough man with a soft voice and a Korean war vet. I fondly remember him singing this Everly Brothers song as a young man. I'd like to live those days again knowing what I know now.

Re: Don Everly Passed Away Yesterday
Just like all of these 'old used cars' that us old geezers keep piddlin' with, all these old-time band folks that we grew-up with have parts that are getting mighty thin and out of time, just like our tires and hoses and distributors. DD . |
