How do i tell if i have a 50# or 80# oil pump. And is there any thing special to do to the relief spring ,everything looks good and gears or not worn and bushing is tight on shaft. Dp

Re: oil pump in 59ab
Does the pump have helical (twisted) gears, or straight teeth? The 80lb. pump has "twisted" gears.
It probably won't hurt anything to put 1/16 shim behind the spring of the relief valve. |
