Can you see the speedo cable? It can only point one way or the other..
I am wondering if its pointed the wrong way.. I saw another early framed car the other day and the cable went towards the passenger side or does it matter?

Here is a pic from The 32 Ford Book.Yes I can see your cable. The cable on an orig car does not go up the left side.It goes thru on the pass side, then thru the firewall (right side)to speedo.

Do I need to grease anything in there when I switch it?

If you greased it before it should be fine.

Did you shorten or cut the tube for any reason? There is one hole that drains the gear oil back into the reared. Need to make sure the passage hole in the tube flange is in the bottom to match the passage in the banjo casting. Had pictures once, otherwise clear as mud?
