Re: 1929 Roadster Almost done.
have you tried Berts? Maybe flu around for the small parts suppliers and maybe they have a set in stock somewhere.

Re: 1929 Roadster Almost done.
A few years ago, I bought a SS front bumper and while shiny, the face was so rippled as if it were polished over mill scale that I put about 10 plus hours flat filing it smooth enough to hand over to a polisher to finish. I was very disappointed in the vendor's quality. It was either Snyders or Brattons' I complained, but not loud enough. I had used SS bumpers about 20 year earlier and the SS was nicely polished.

Fordm. Is the chassis under your roadster made ready to take a RHD steering column? I believe Canadian Model A chassis were made that way and I'm assuming yours is a Canadian car.

Re: 1929 Roadster Almost done.
Just for information, I just had my front bumpers chromed by Edmonton Bumper repair. They did a good job for $700.00. There not show chrome but good for a driver/show car. They use Greyhound bus for shipping. If I remember that was $75.00 return. There turn around time is about 4 -6 weeks. Remember if your getting parts out of the US. these days the cost will be almost double or more by the time it gets here.
Hope this helps. John Poole Last edited by Tinbasher; 02-14-2017 at 08:46 AM. Reason: More info. |
