Default 32 Coil Location PU

Another question about 32 PU coil location from factory .I see coils located all over the place on 32's but I think they should be under the dash with a long coil wire thru the firewall ? right or wrong ? Sc

Coil sits on the distributor on the V-8.

Originally, Model B coils were mounted horizontally inside the passenger compartment utilizing the two clinch (D) nuts just to the right of the upper center of the firewall (dash).

DAVIDG, thanks I forgot to say Model B in my question,,yes that is what I thought but I saw so many with coil outside on firewall ....so a long coil wire goes thru firewall grommet to dist cap, easy to see why people change the location ..sc
