Re: Anyone running 5.25 x 21 tires ?
Not me, but a good friend who's not online has them on his '29 Tudor and loves them. He has a 'built' motor and 3.55 gears and cruises easily at 60. I know, I've followed him in a modern car! But until he got the modified motor he couldn't climb hills around here. Plus, now, his speedo is about 10% slow because of the larger rolling circumference.

Re: Anyone running 5.25 x 21 tires ?
Thanks Tom !
It's getting to be time to "re-tire", and am pondering getting a little more rubber between me & the macadm , w/o sacrificing my 21-inch wheels. Cheers ! |

We have a member in our club wiyh those tires on a 29 Leatherback. Not so good. Not enough clearance and sometimes hit on sharp turns or bumps.

Do you mean "New Type, design" or we should buy some new 21 inch Goodyear has on the market?

Re: Anyone running 5.25 x 21 tires ?
Apparently, until this year, Goodyear "diamond-treads" were only available in 16, 17, 18, and 19 " ?
I had a set of 6.50x16 Goodyear "All-Weather" diamond-treads on my '41 DeSoto; they looked great, but were a very noisy-running tire. |

Re: Anyone running 5.25 x 21 tires ?
A man in our club is running 5.25 x 21" White Walls on his 29 Tudor; he says they give him a better ride than the 4.40-4.50 x 21" he previously had.
I personally think they look to big on a 28-29; you might consider the new Goodyear 21" tire ? Ron |

Be careful if you have a side mount. It may not fit in the well,
