Default Hydraulic dual master cylinder upgrade on a Model A

To anyone else who may have some information /experience ( Mr Texas ??)

I have a 30 tudor with 40-48 brakes and a side mount single chamber MC that uses the existing brake shaft linkage. Not sure what it came off of, but it is not a 40-48 ford as it is side mount.
I am wanting to upgrade to a dual cylinder MC, I like the JEGS side mount, but they have two sizes 1 1/8 and 1 1/32.. The Orig MC was 1 1/16, so which one do you think would be the best for my braking system.
I know there will be a difference in the brake feel/ travel between them.

I am also thinking of upgrading the fronts to 39 Lincoln from MT car products. Any information on picking a new MC would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

The original M/cyl. for those brakes was 1" in diameter so I would choose the smaller one. Your linkage will play a part in the leverage you have too. What diameter is the present cylinder, and how is the brake "feel". Use that as a guideline.

The diameter of the cylinders is 1''. I have two of these, one mounted and to be mounted. The Cyl. I'm referring to is the one Speedway motors sells for $36 ($59 SS. cyl) This can be found on Pg 2 of the 2012 street catalog. Google Speedway motors or call them at 800-979-0122. Very good people to deal with!

thanks for the information, I am not sure the size of my existing master cylinder, I can try to take a picture and post it. Probably 1 " or 1 1/16.
I appreciate the suggestions.
