Distributor control rod removal
I need to remove the distributor. Les Andrews, page 1-101, says, “Disconnect advance control rod from distributor upper plate arm.”
How does this come apart? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Distributor control rod removal
The ends of the control rods are internally spring loaded. Pull to lengthen enough to release the ball on the distributor plate arm.
The reproduction control arms will fight you. |

THANK YOU!!!!!! This was so counter-intuitive to me. I would never have guessed that the linkage could “stretch.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Distributor control rod removal
The captures on the last replacement rod I got needed to be fitted to the balls on both ends. Your balls may vary.
