Re: Need a couple quarts of 140 Gear Oil
I believe you can order it from Restoration Supply Co http://www.restorationstuff.com/products.html
They have Lubriplate SPO-277 that is GL-1, SAE 140 gear lubricant by the quart. They also have Penrite LUB030 1 litre bottles of Transoil 140. Both are good for the old transmission that used GL-1 lube back in the 30s thru the 50s. |

Re: Need a couple quarts of 140 Gear Oil
This stuff is S.A.E.140 GL5 but it is user friendly with brass . I use it in steering , tranny , u-joint & rear end on my Fords with no complaints at all . It is also available in S.A.E. 250 but that stuff is pretty thick . So is this for that matter . If you want I can send a half gallon as I have plenty as it works great in my old John Deeres . Goggle it for specs . Good stuff . How did the oil pan work out ?
