AA plumbers truck or is it an express truck?

Here are some pictures of an AA plumbers truck. Was it originally an AA express truck?

I don't think there's any such thing as a individually name truck. Looks like the AA express. Nice looking , there was an article several years ago regarding Craig Landon's express, in the restorer.

Not an express since there are no fender well inside the bed.

For 1928 through 1930, the Budd supplied, Ford sold, express body was the 89-A. The 89-A basically looks like a pickup body except larger.

For 1931 and the AA131 chassis, the Ford sold express bodies were the 195-A express (light duty), 239-A express (meat packers), and 242-A express (heavy duty).

The cargo body in your pictures is not any of the Ford sold cargo bodies.

Quite a few years ago I bought at auction an 28 AA closed cab, original paint, 28K miles, long running boards, rear fenders, spoke wheels etc. But with no rear body. It had been a stake sided flat bed potato truck out of Aroostook county and they probably took the body off and used it on a newer truck in a later year. I had a after market, well made, express type body(looked similar to the one pictured) that slid right between the fenders perfectly. In a moment of weakness I excepted an offer from someone who saw it. The interior panels and seat were all intack and good condition and I took a load of pictures before it left but something happened inside the camera and none of them came out.

Neil, did it have a history as being a plumbers truck or signage? Just curious why it's called a "plumbers truck"
