Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
I guess I could have taken the Merc out for a spin early in the morning when everything was still frozen dry. But by the time I got outside it was melting snow and a few mud patches so the Merc stayed indoors.

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
Well, it's official. We broke the record for snowfall for the month of April.
This is the most snowfall recorded for April in our area since record keeping began. Also, we have had a few luke warm days, but it has been colder than normal here by about 20 to 30 degrees, for the last 2 months. I hope things start getting back to normal pretty gol darn soon,,, getting cabin fever here. .

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
Don't know about any records here but we certainly have a lot of disgusted looking robins.

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
In Alberta, where there are now mopeds, motorcycles, and rat rods out on spring roads, we're already counting the number of days left in the season before we have to put our vintage cars away for winter and hockey season.

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
Storm finished in Green Bay with 23.7 inches of snow. Second most snow fall on record. In 1888 there was a storm with 29 inches. Last year 74 degrees?

Hint, Even if you have a snow blower, don't get rid of your shovel.
This is 3 days after the blizzard of the month. Starting to see some pavement. Click on picture to Enlarge.

We could get 3 or more inches tomorrow too.
Well, at least I got my snow blower dug out now, so now I'm ready for more...Bring it on...NOT. .

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
Started up here about 5 today and they say we could get an inch of snow. Guess the Merc stays in the shed for a bit longer. I worked on the 53 parts car and got the front fender off today. Didn't break anything other than a few rusted bolts Ihad to cut off. Good thing I am not charging by the hour though.

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
Not being a sour note; but as soon as (someday) it gets in the 90's them
globle geeks come out in full force. They have no common sense like how come my furnace been full tilt for 7 months? Whats left outta 7 months? Why were dinosaur bones found in the upper mid west huh? Palm trees in Minot say what? My biggest rant is 'they get a paycheck' while the boys way up in a bucket in a blizzard dealing with big time volts & people bitch cause they got no tv or computor....I do not get it. I put my home calender on March 1. |

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
I don't want a response or want to set off a rant here on.
There is a difference between weather and climate. Think of it this way. What your wearing today is like weather. Tomorrow you'll be wearing something else. Now go into your closet and look at your wardrobe. Your wardrobe is like climate. I'm not advocating either way. But there is a difference. I'm wearing shorts today. It's 47 degrees here. |

Re: Springtime in Minnesnota
A little warming here today. The wind dropped, sun finally came out and the temp hit near 40 degrees so we saw some good melting today. Nice weather to work in the shop with the South doors open and enjoy the heat. Nice day to fly too. I took this shot about noon today.
