Default New Forged Front Brake levers

The vendors' front lever replacements are straight vs the bent later style.
Can these be bent without compromising them? (heated or cold) .They are supposedly forged but not sure of the quality.

I've often heard that forged parts shouldn't be heated .

Have bent back a clutch release bearing fork without heat but not sure about the new brake levers. Some say to heat on the compression side of the bend to prevent cracks but never did just one side with heat .
