Default Still out there - 39 coupe parked in 1979

1939 coupe parked in 1979, 28,940 miles, very solid, original, had it running within 2 hours after I got it home, radio, heater, fender skirts, never wrecked, original shocks. I think I can replace the tank, brakes, do a good cleaning and drive the car. Everything works except the wipers and brakes.

I wish i had been lucky enough to find a nice 39 Std coupe like that. I got my first car in 1963 and it was a 39 std. 2 door but i have always wanted a coupe and that one is in great condition.

Ever wonder what happened to a LOT of them in the 1950's and 1960's ?

Motor City Speedway, Detroit, Mi. Summer of 1956. After taking out part of the backstretch retaining wall and 12' long Coca-Cola sign.

Is that the original floor mat or a replacement? Original should be chocolate brown.

Super nice find.

Super nice find.
Floor mat, trunk mat, clutch & brake pedal, some of the glass, are all replacements sometime in the 70s. Owner drove this car for pleasure and replaced parts as needed.

Yes, enjoy it. Please don't post on the Hamb. All you will hear is chop it, lower it, add "traditional" parts like airbags, an efi or Cummins engine, etc.

I think if you posted it on the hamb you would hear leave it as it is. If you think that's the way the hamb is you are wrong. And probably a person that got their feelings hurt on there.
