That Roberts design is a good find. It uses a little different orientation than the other setups.

It's starting to look like it can be figured out. The hardest part might end up being the sourcing of appropriate serpentine pulleys. I actually looks like the biggest hurdle might be just finding a crank and water pump pulleys that can be made to work.

I just made one for a friends project. I don't like v belts for street engines. It does help having the machines to make whatever parts you need. This is for a woman and she wanted AC, PS, and and alternator so this is how I configured it.

Very nice work . . . just not my style (given the vintage nature of flatheads). But - if somebody wants all those accessories, then this is a good way to go to drive them all and not have belt issues.

Veeerrry impressive setup. It would look even better on a "Street Rod" site. People, I think we are starting to loose our focus.

Serpentine belts squeak too. I have had much more squeaking on my two 97 T Birds and my diesel pusher. A serpentine system is no cure for squeaking belts.

Much more? What kind of belts did they have before? And what are 97 T-Birds and a diesel pusher? Jack E/NJ

Robert, that's some fantastic work. What are you doing for water pumps? It looks like the normal dual flathead pumps are not there. Must be something I'm unfamiliar with.

I used an ugh, 409 chevy water pump. I wanted the system pressurized with a modern sealed type water pump. Plus I couldn't put the accessories on the owner wanted with twin water pumps. Krylon 32 used to make a setup like this but I adapted it further to incorporate the AC and PS mounts.

Please whatever you do dont use a chain on a blower. Ya, I know there are examples from the past.

Really interesting Robert. I'll have to think a little bit to wrap my mind around that one.

It is impressive, but it looks like a ls3. I get it. Personally not my bag.

Super impressive... but I'm still dragging my happy ass around with my 95hp flathead. (Milled heads)

Buy a small block if you want air conditioning.

Robert, What did you use for the damper/crank pulley?

I had an old ATI super damper that the hole was worn out in, for a small block chevy. I bored the hole to fit the flathead and used a small block pulley.
