Newbie has a question about '57 driveshaft
I have a '57 Ranchero that was missing the drive shaft when I bought it. Can anyone on the forum tell me if the drive shaft from a '59 Edsel Wagon is the same as '57 Ranchero/ Wagon/Sedan Delivery? I've found a '59 Edsel (automatic ) that has a drive shaft, but do not know if it is the same as a '57 Ford, Wagon/Ranchero/ Sedan Delivery, but hoping you'll know if it fits, and share the information with me.
Thanks "Newbie" John |

Re: Newbie has a question about '57 driveshaft
'57 Ranchero is short wheel base as are the wagons and Customs. '58 Edsel wagons were on the same platform as the ford wagons but all Edsel Ranger and Pacer cars were long WB like the Fairlane. I would measure the '59 before I paid for it but I suspect it is the same.

A good machine shop can build a shaft using your end hardware.
