Re: Mail Truck ??
The one in Maine, the more correct of the two was pulled, it was for sale locally according to the ad. The one still for sale is not very correct and missing most postal hardware on the body. Could be a fun vehicle, but you really have to know what your buying if bidding on this one.

Re: Mail Truck ??
I saw a Model A Postal Truck in the Owl's Head Museum in Maine a few years ago. I wonder if it's still there. It's a beautiful restoration.

Re: Mail Truck ??
Yes, bobs picture is of the late 31 commercial cowl, no provision for doors and hinges. used for the body by others chassis, does appear to have the remains of Mail Truck wood on right side. If no wood is attached tell tale sign it was a mail truck would be a second hole bored below factory hole for choke rod on lower firewall. The earlier 31 procurement still considered late 31 utilized the roadster cowl and it had provisions for doors and hinges. Both cowls had the indented firewall.

Re: Mail Truck ??
It's an ok representation of a mail truck.
I look at a picture during the build would have gone a long way towards more accurate woodwork.

Re: Mail Truck ??
Spotted that mail truck up in Maine on eBay. Then the auction was closed. Seller probably made a side private deal.
