Tailgate emblem and bezel?

Anyone know where I can find the tailgate/rear door emblem for the 56 sedan delivery? Part numbers are 0A 7042514-B and 0A 7042522-B. Cannot seem to find them anywhere. I have the original but the bezel is in sad shape and the emblem is toast. Thanks

Is it specific to the '56 Sedan Delivery only? Do you have a photo or two you can post?

I ordered all that stuff from Concours Parts back in the late '90's for my '55 Courier sedan delivery project, but I don't get their catalog anymore. Some of the other popular resto parts suppliers have discontinued it.
You'd better hang on to that rubber gasket. No one has ever offered it repro. The '55's did not have that gasket. Instead, they had a foam pad inserted behind the plastic emblem, but the chrome bezel itself was mounted directly up against metal. Same for hood emblem.

Dennis Carpenters 3 year old catalog shows the 0A-7042514-B plastic emblem that they claim fits the 50-56 Customline/Mainline series cars, but I don't think that part they show fits the wagons.
I have a '55 Customline plastic emblem and bezel. The top portion of the plastic emblem is deeper than the wagon because of the difference in bezels between the cars and wagons.
I may have a brand new, never used repro chrome plated bezel for wagon tailgates (and Courier), but not 100% sure. Will take photos and post here tomorrow.

I have compared the extra bezel I have with the one that is actually on my Courier. This extra one must be for '52-'54 trunk lids and will not fit correctly with contour of the wagon tailgate/back door.

There in lies another hickup. Don't know if you remember but while back I was having issues with the license plate holder. The mount that goes on the door was different from the one the is listed. I bought a 56 rubber pad and it is totally different from the one on the door. Hmmm. So looking it seems the license plate holder is from a earlier door. Can the earlier rear door be fitted to the 56? I ask this as the rear glass is not correct either. The glass is more curved the the frame. Hmmm again. Really odd. Being a delivery car and it was fairly banged up when I got it. Amazing what bondo can do. Upon stripping it down the were placed with 1/2 inch on bondo on them. Anyway I am thinking the rear door got caved in and replaced with a earlier on if that is possible.

'53 and '54 car trunks did not use a bezel with the plastic colored center. '52 did use the plastic emblem, but the bottom of the bezel had a lip to grab to open the trunk. Different than the one you have pictured.

You might give Concours a call. Sometimes they have stuff that's not listed in their catalogue or on line.

OK Concours has one listed they say is for the sedan delivery part number tho is different. They list it as BF 7043522 A which is not even a Ford number. May be just their part number but do not want to get the wrong one. Have contacted them to see what they say.

I will try to remember to take a close-up photo of the bezel that is actually on my '55 Courier back door tomorrow so that you can see that it appears to be pretty flat across the top rather than v-shaped or curved. I will post it on here in the AM.
THEN, you go on the Concours website and see if they show photos of the BF-7043522A and compare it to mine.

Dave thanks for the pics. This is the one in concours catalog. Cannot tell if it is flat or not. Will have to see what the one I have is.

If worst comes to worst, and your original isn't pitted too bad, you should be able to get it re-chromed, but it may cost you $50 bucks. Compare that with what they are asking now for the repro. I think they are getting close to that much already.

Probably true as they want $45 plus shipping. I need some other stuff rechromed anyway so may wait till then.

couple pics of mine. there are about 15 pits on it so really not all that bad, i guess. Anyway it is flat horizontally and slightly curved vertically.
