Default Where to buy an oil filter for my 55 fairlane 272

Hello,
Where can I buy a canister type oil filter....I live in Ontario Canada.
A part number would be great...

Local parts stores may not normally stock canister filters but they can get 'em from their warehouse. Just ask them for a filter for your 272, they should be able to look it up.

Purolator P-48 filter element, comes with gasket for cannister. I used to get them at any chain auto parts store that sold Purolator products, but nowadays, who knows.
If you order parts from some of the repro parts suppliers, they most likely still sell them.

It's easy to change it to a modern type spin-on filter. NAPA still sells the adapter. The adapter takes a common filter that you can get at Walmart or any auto parts store. Mine was changed years ago. Unless you're after a concours-correct restoration, I'd ditch the old canister filter and go with the adapter and spin-on filter.
