Smile Fuel Force Bully 94 Carburetor

I just saw a new reproduction 94 Carburetor on ebay that I have never heard of before. It's called a 'Fuel Force Bully 94'. The price is $249.95.
It is advertised as, 'the same as', an Edelbrock 94 #1151. Not sure of the manufacturer's company name? Fuel Force? Has any heard of or had any experience with this new reproduction carburetor? At least it looks nice!

I saw them too. I'm thinking China.

As we knock the chinese made parts for our hobby, just think about of it? Just what is made in the us. for one thing every nut and bolt in your local hdw store is made in china. So were the Jeep wheel bearings for my dodge disk brake conversion. If it wasn't for the Chunese we'd be walking around naked. It's just business.

Without China, there would be parts, just more expensive and probably better built. (But then there is Mexico and Argentina.) I got a 35 temp. gauge made in Argentina, (from Mac Ford), it works but is not a real good fit.

This is a sad but true fact Ron. Most products we get/use here in the U.S. are from China. It's just hard to put a Chinese part on a Ford made in the U.S. of U.S. iron.

Its kinda like the Chinese make either very good high quality parts or junk, there isn't a middle ground.
Trouble is when look at a picture it is hard to tell if it is junk.
I go more by who sells it here in the U.S., when coming from Macs I assume it will be junk that I can manage to made do with, theres a couple others of the same calibre.

I think the quality of the Chinese or wherever parts is down to who wanted them reproduced.
For example. Say "Jack Ford parts" wants to sell repro horn button. He goes to a US manufacturing plant and says " how much to make 5000 of these? They say "$30 a piece" Jack decides folk won't pay that. So he goes to the chinks, how much to repro these? " we can do them real nice for £25 each, or we can do an "ok" version with looser tolerance (lower reject at quality control, cheaper plating on the thinner metal part, and less finishing on the part for $10 a piece. Jack sees more sales and more profit. Guess where jacks parts come from?
Jacks Ford parts is a made up company for this examplethe Chinese will make what you ask for, want crap? Yep they can do it. Want good? Yep they can do that to.
Where is the blame?
Martin.

We're bringing up their standard of living. Their manufacturing will improve over time ( like that of Japan ). The metallurgy will become good also, then some day they might have enough advancements to take over the world because we slowly helped them.

I never considered manufactured and assembled to be synonymous.

I would much rather rebuild/restore an original. More authentic and cheaper than even the Chinese made versions. The one on EBAY looks cheap in the pictures, so worse in you're hand. Looks like the bowl cover screws might be self tapping too. No way for me. Too many originals still around.

The Federal Trade Commission definition of "Assembled in the USA" is very vague. Given the respect that the Chinese show for intellectual property, patents, trademarks, private property, personal privacy, corporate privacy, international law or freedom of the seas, etc, I would never expect them to simply print a deceptive label and see if someone will try and take legal action.

On the other hand, why buy a knock-off if you get an original?

They look good, but I bought 2 clean, complete 94s for 20 bucks each at the Monroe swap meet, and a couple of kits at a nearby ford parts vendors booth for about 30 bucks. They just don't seem too hard to find or to work on. The kits had a float valve that wasn't a needle, but they work really well. Nice to see jobs kept in the states. Three cheers for National!

The video sure looks like this outfit is a rebuilder, NOT a carburetor manufacturer! And they say they "developed" those 94 and 97 carbs; they do not say they manufacture them! To "develop" can mean they thought of the idea and sent a couple of carbs to China to be copied, or that they actually drew up plans, made and tested some prototypes and then went to China.

One can only wish that the copies are good and all parts are up to specs.
When they start altering just a bit to either dodge the owner rights or cut corners theres soon a lot of non fitting parts and carbs you cant rebuild in the future.
