35 wheel repair
Preparing to make repairs to my 35 steering wheel. Using PC-7 for the fill material. Purchase the Jack Turpin steering wheel restoration handbook to help in the process. The book has a lot of good information but I do have one question for the readers. The book mentions beveling the existing cracks in the wheel but does not give a lot of detail in how much to open up the cracks (1/16,1/8, 1/4") or how deep to go. The pictures show some of the typical cracks in my wheel which overall is in decent condition.
I want to do the wheel myself and hoping for good results. If you can share your experience I would be grateful. Thanks and Happy New Year from Dover Foxcroft, ME.

The large cracks should be opened up to the core, and it is advisable to do the same for the smaller cracks.
