Default Brake energizer kit 1932 questions

Teds kit does not have hole and pin in wedge assembly..bratons do..whats story on this hole and pin..is it needed or just a hoax ? see pics

I would think that Ted might be the one to ask. Just bought his kit for my '33 and installation was quite easy.
